  1. Well, you have to actually crouch and hop up with your legs, of course.  The timing is the most difficult part to learn...once you get that figured out then it's a matter of putting more muscle into the moves.

When your wheel is up, you should come out of your crouch and spring up, pointing your toes down a bit and trying to stay stuck to the pedals with a little rearward pressure.....at the same time, bring your bars up and forward in kind of a letter C movement.   There are a few really good instructional vids on youtube...watch them carefully and pay close attention to the tiny movements they're making.   You'll figure it out pretty soon, just keep at it.  One thing I'd suggest since you can't get the back up right now is to start small.  Even if you can get your front wheel up high (which is a good thing!), start smaller until you get the timing down.  Once that comes together then lift that wheel up and spring like a puma!    :o)

  2. When bunny hopping you want to scoop up the back with your feet after your front gets in the air.  It isnt as much about pushing down as it is transfering your weight forward.
