Is mongoose a great company?

It is indeed. But you have to be careful where you buy your bike or parts. Definately not Walmart. I suggest a shop where they sell and fix bikes. Hobby Wheel perhaps, is a good one. They always have great bikes.

I would say no mongoose is not a good brand for bmx, they are way heavy and not very good. I would recommend just going to your local bike store and ask them for more help concerning this.
