Recentely my brothers girlfriend was unwillingly taken away.

One day she was going about her normal life, the next she was gone.

We called her father to try and get information on where she was, if she was ok and how we could reach her but all he would tell us is that she was taken away to a boarding school in Nevada.

Its been over 6 months and we have not heard a word from her by letter, email or phone call..which is weird because she would absolutely NEVER stop communicating by choice!

We do not know the name or exact location of the school, but we do know this isn't like her and we're worried that something other than what we were told might have happened.

Her father was a good, loving parent but her mother who also has partial control of her is an abusive, manipulative person who did not accept her daughter.

She was taken away soon after her mother came back into her life after years of being estranged.

PLEASE HELP IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEA'S, WE'RE WORRIED SICK

  1. Google Up some Nevada Boarding Schools and Call them and see if they have a person by that name.

    Good Luck

  2. Contact the police.  Frankly (unfortunately if he really is as bad as you say), her father has every right to place her in a boarding school.  If he thinks the friends she has been hanging out with (i.e. you) are bad for her, he has the right to protect her from you by distancing her from you.

However, I say call the Police because, perhaps she isn't at a boarding school at all, but rather is dead and buried.  The police can verify her whereabouts and that she is okay, etc.

If she is okay, there isn't anything you can do, but if she isn't okay, then she is going to need to you stand up for her and be her voice.

PS: Ignore the first suggestion.  Schools don't give out information about students to strangers.  If she is being prevented from having contact, then they really are the type of school who is not going to confirm that she is there.
