The Trotters Manager is determined that his side would continue with their impressive form and would not rest on their laurels following their high flying kick-off to this campaign. The Bolton Wanderers are currently sixth in the
Barclays Premier League which has been one of their best standing in the recent history.
Owen Coyle said: "It has been very evident since the start of the season how hard the lads have worked. We all enjoying ourselves at the moment but have to continue this level of performance and perhaps try and improve. The lads
know that is their focus. I stress it to them every day. The great thing is the energy they are showing and the appetite they have to help each other. That shows you we are a real team and can only help in trying to take this club forward."
Moreover, the Wanderers’ Manager has claimed that there is quite a possibility that Bolton’s talismanic striker Johan Elmander will be staying at Reebok stadium. The Swedish striker is in the last year of his contract and has already
been linked to Liverpool. It is also reported that Johan Elmander could move to Liverpool on Bosman Transfer once his Bolton’s deal expires in the summer. Johan Elmander joined the Bolton Wanderers in 2008 for the club’s record transfer fee of £10m from Toulouse.
However, Bolton Chairman is doing his best to retain the services of the Wanderers’ in-from striker. The 28-year-old has found his best form in this season and is one of the top scorers of the Barclays Premier League. The Swedish
striker has scored 8 goals so far in this season which also makes him Bolton’s top goal scorer of the season.
Owen Coyle said: "They had a good meeting from what I am led to believe. I think the dialogue went back and forth. But Johan has got to concentrate on his football and I have told him that. His representative and our Chairman will
continue the dialogue. They certainly didn't close the door on us. I think it's fair to say they will keep that door open and continue to have dialogue. Hopefully we will get to somewhere where we are all happy with."
Owen Coyle and his men are currently sixth in the Barclays Premier League table and thanks to their high flying start, Bolton have earned 23 points in fifteen league matches so far. This is considered as their one of the best start
in almost 20 years and Bolton’s current position at six is also their best standing in recent history.
