I just saw a question that was talking about breast implants and a couple of things that I have always wondered is:

Can you breast feed?

Will you have to them changed like every five yrs. or something?

When I get old like 70 will they have to be taken out cuz i'm old???

And if I do ever take them out will they just be like nothing ok wht i'm trying to ask is do they just add boob or do they take out your boob and then put a new one in????

I'm really confused???

  1. Normally the implant goes behind your natural breast tissue which will remain functional and lactation will still be possible (assuming you are female to begin with). They should last as long as you do (although I have heard some types need to be changed every 10yrs or so) but it may be that when they are drooping with age and you are tripping over them, you would want further revision surgery to remove the implant and lift them.

  2. Wonder a natural thing not artificial please

  3. Nope, can't breast feed with implants.

Nope, shouldn't have to get them changed unless they rupture

Don't have to get them taken out when you're old - although you will look ridiculous with them from about your 50s on, when your b***s are still ginormous and firm and the rest of you is saggy.

They don't take out your current b*****s - those are attached, don't ya know. They simply add gelatinous bags and stitch you back up (well, it's a little more complicated than that - but close enough for yahoo)

Unless you are painfully flat chested, skip the implants, With that same $$ you can get some counseling to increase your self-esteem and then you won't worry about having big obviously fake b***s.

  4. They place an implant under the skin of the breast, without taking out any breast tissue, unless it's a mastectomy (a operation to remove cancerous breast tissue). It's like a bag with a silicone gel inside it. Most people can still breastfeed. I think they have to be changed about every 10 years. If you take them out, it depends on how big the implants were, but you'll be left with some sagging skin from where it stretched.

  5. You should be able to breast feed-get the implants behind the muscle, it's supose to be easier to feed.

They're not sure how long they'll last, some last 5, some 10, some even 20.  But most likely you'll have to have them done more than once.

You won't have to have them taken out just because you're old.

They don't take out your b***s.  You will still have your origional b***s, but if you choose to have the implants out for good, your skin will be stretched & saggy, it may look like you have less full b***s than before.  You may have to have a breast lift.

  6. 1) It's not safe to breastfeed with implants

    2) You do have to get implants "changed" every few years, just like with tires or anything else (lol)

    3) You don't have to take implants out due to age, but you would have to take them out do to many complications. Sometimes your body rejects them (just like as if you were to put any foreign object in your body

    4) What they actually do is they pretty much take off your nipple and insert the implant through the nipple and then sew it back up.
