BPL chairman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gazi-Ashraf-Hossain-c58700 says payment Issues will be resolved soon - Cricket News Update
Gazi http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 Premier League’s governing council chairman, has responded to the complaints regarding the non-payment of players and coaches, stating that the revenue obstacle will soon be sorted out despite the
franchises missing the latest deadline date.
He further ensured that the inexperience in management will be made up for in future tournaments in order to avoid a repeat of the ongoing incident.
"We have got verbal assurance from some franchises. Actually most of the franchises are now focusing on the revenue issue. You know a huge financial deal was involved in the event, so it's not unlikely that they face some setback.
I think we are in a learning process which will help us to arrange the next edition smoothly." Ashraf said.
"The governing council will review all the things before taking any action. We hope the franchises can understand everything, so we are not in hurry." Asraf added.
Bangladesh’s Premier league has surrounded by controversies ever since the conclusion of the inaugural event.  The concerns relate to the failure of the franchises to clear payments to overseas and local players, along with foreign
coaches despite continuous reminder from the effected parties
For this sole reason, Federation of International Cricketers' Associations intervened and has threatened to take action against the BPL organizers and BCB, which had earlier promised to clear out any remaining dues if the franchises defaulted. However, the
matter rumbles on despite the tournament ending in late February.
The franchise’s owners have further refused to comment on the issue, cutting off any link with concerned cricketing authorities.  FICA has ordered local lawyers to file a case against the owners, which might prompt them to clear their pending dues.
The only overseas player who had reportedly, been compensated his full amount was Pakistan’s http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shahid-Afridi-c2482, the most expensive BPL player, brought by $700,000.
However, controversies with other foreign players are evident, while coaches have also expressed their disappointment, notable being http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ian-Leslie-Pont-c63901, coach of the Dhaka Gladiators, who said claimed to receive only half of the amount owed to him by the authorities.
