    5. she never notices it she says!

    Pleasureee xxxx

  2. ok here goes...

    1. it doesn't take as long as people say.

2.it doesn't hurt at all but after they use this thing to dry the glue and it makes your teeth REALLY sensitive i dont wanna creep you out but i could hardly eat for like 4 days.

3.Yeah but I don't know what it is or is called.

    4. You can't taste anything

    5. It's a bit weird at first because your gum gets caught on it but they give you a type of wax you stick on the bracket and it stops it from rubbing, but after like 2 days you start to forget it's there.

    DONT WORRY YOULL BE FINE.

    XXXXX

  3. Personally I havn't had them but my friend did and it does hurt because the metal digs into your gums and stuff.

She was fine though after 2 weeks and just got used to them......The hardest thing for her was having to stop eating certain things such as chewing gum etc.

  4. If  your having so called "train tracks". That's what i had.

    1. it takes like a couple of minutes literally.

    2. No, it doesn't really hurt,  it hurt me a little bit but only for a split second. I had a nasty dentist. But yours should be fine.

    3. yes they glue it but you don't even realise that they are putting on.

4 A bit. But you wash your mouth out afterwards. It feels weird because they put like a blowing thing in your mouth to get away the saliva.

5it feels a bit strange a first. It feels cold. But after a day or so, you get used to it.

Don't worry there's nothing to freak about. I only had mine on for a little while.

The best thing is when you get them off. It feels like a slug.

MAKE SURE WHEN YOU GET A RETAINER, WEAR IT ALL THE TIME BECAUSE YOU'LL REGRET IT WHEN YOUR TEETH GO BACK.

    i feel really gutted now.

  5. 1.  About 30-45 minutes.

    2.  Your teeth will feel a bit sore for a few days.  Mostly foods like jello and pudding.

    3.  Yes.  They use a sort of cement-like adhesive to stick the metal to your teeth.

    4.  The molds they make of your mouth taste disgusting.

    5.  Takes a while to get used to.  You can't feel your teeth as much, and spit seems to collect and then drool out when you don't notice it.  Also, food gets stuck around the wires and along the sides and back of your mouth a lot.

    Good luck!

  6. Heyy, I`ve just had my braces taken off today. I had braces put on my top and bottom but at differant times. I think they take about 20 mins - itz not long. At 1st they ache for a ew days but u have them tightened every month, so u soon gt used to it. They do use a glue- make sure u dnt l**k it wen itz wet  !!!!!!  when the glue has dried u cant taste it. You g used 2 the metal in ur mouth (LOL). I had mine off 2day and i woz so scared they`d look wierd but i am so glad i had brace !!!!

(hence my display name)!!! It feels wierd not to have metal in my mouth now!! Its worth it in the end !!

Oh ! Ps : after u have 2 have a retainer so that they dont move backagain but you can take it out weneva u want. However u have to do the whole biting the blue mould again !!!! ( but 4 me that woz the worst bit and u`ve already done it so you`ll be fine !

    Good Luck !! :) xx

  7. I'm afraid to say they hurt like a *****.

Feels like permanent pressure on all of your teeth, and the metal rips apart the inside of your lips so you get a lot of ulcers.

You can't eat apples or corn on the cob, and chewing gum is out of the question.

Have you had them blue tooth separators in yet? They hurt too.

You soon get used to it, but it all comes back when you have them tightened again.

I had them on for about 2 years. And it was the best feeling ever when I had them taken off!

  8. 1. mine took around 2 hours but that was with pictures, impressions and x-rays.

    2. it doesn't hurt much when they put them in but they hurt afterwards.

    3. they use glue but it looks like some kind of glue gun thing they put glue in.

    4. not really. when they file down some of ur teeth it takes kinda nasty but not really.

    5. after awhile u don't even notice them in a few months. besides eating when a bunch of stuff gets stuck in them.

but i have almost had mine for a year but i dont' even notice them except for eating.

    good luck friday

  9. 1.how long does it take - about half an hour for them to put them onto your teeth and expect to wear them for about 2 years

    2. does it hurt - there is no beating around the bush, it does hurt alot, and every time you have them tightened the pain gets worse, having them put on doesnt really hurt just the movement afterwards.

3.do they use any sort of glue - yes to stick the blocks to your teeth but once they come off it leaves no stain

4.does it taste discusting - no you cant taste it, the only disgusting thing is when you get all lumps of food in your teeth stuck between the braces etc. its not very nice and unavoidable

5.whats it like having metal in your mouth - it doesnt make for nice photos and isnt very nice as you have to spend alot of time cleaning them, and to be honest i dont think all the pain was worth it because my teeth werent very bad to start with and they dont look much different now but if your teeth are really wonky then its worth it, but yes its not the nicest thing and i dont think i would have it again.

  10. Oh, girl, I feel sorry for you! I just got mine off after FOUR YEARS!

    1. It took my orthodontist about 35-45 minutes to put them on. At the most it will be an hour.

    2. Yes, sorry. For the first week, your teeth just constantly ache. When they finally stop hurting enough to where you can eat solid food, the wires are going to cut your gums and lips up while you're trying to chew. Load up on them little packs of wax they give you; believe me, it comes in handy! Everytime you get them tightened, it will ache a bit for the next couple of days, but not so bad after the first few months.

    3. Yes, they use a cement-like glue.

    4. Yes, it is absolutely disgusting. you know how if you itch the inside of your ear, and then accidentally stick that same finger in your mouth, that nasty taste you get? That's what the glue tastes like, except it kind of burns or tingles a bit too.

    5. It's a pain in the @$$. But if you have bad teeth, like I did, it's SO worth it! My teeth look so much better now, and it makes me feel alot better about smiling and stuff.

With all the cute colors you can get on them now, it's not so bad looking.

    Good luck!

PS- It would help to take a couple Ibuprofen or Tylenol about 30 minutes before you go in, so you don't have to be in too much pain after the fact. It helps to do this everytime you go in for a tightening too!

  11. 1. everyones different. i had mine 1 and a half years. it all depends on the state of your teeth and how fast they move. takes about half an hour to put them on.

    2. it can hurt, it didnt hurt me too much, but ive heard of some people being in awful pain. paracetmol does wonders though. it doesnt hurt when they actually put them on.

    3. they use cement to stick them to your teeth.

    4. does what taste disgusting? the cement? you dont taste it.

    5. youll get used to it after a while and not even realise theyre there !

edit : the bits that do hurt are when you have gaps and wire going across it when youve got them on, especially if your mouth dries out after drinking alcohol and such. bonjela and the wax they give you will sort it though.

if wires do hurt you, like stick into your gum, just go back to your orthodontist and theyll sort it.

    :)

  12. !.how long does it take- it took 20 minutes for the top one, so 40 for both

    2. does it hurt-no! it just feels funny afterwards- it aches a few days later too.

3.do they use any sort of glue- they use a water soluble adhesive.

4.does it taste discusting- it tastes bitter but i put some toothpaste on my tongue to take the taste away :)

5.whats it like having metal in your mouth ?- you get used to it. you will get some special wax to put over any parts that rub your cheek

    hope this helps :)
