BRAKE FLUID IN A 1999 PLYMOUTH BREEZE

WOULD ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO ADD THE BRAKE FLUID TO A 1999 PLYMOUTH BREEZE. IM NOT WORKING RIGHT NOW AND I AM TRYING TO SAVE MONEY. I AM GOING TO TAKE IT TO THE SHOP ON MONDAY BUT I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT IT DOESNT JUST NEED FLUID. I HAVE NO WAY OF CHECKING THE LEVEL. PLEASE HELP

  1. Ben is correct.  I'd also like to elaborate.  Your brake fluid reservoir is on the driver's side if your confused.  Also after you refill your brake fluid with the correct fluid.  Wait for several hours and check the level again.  Also check for oil film in wheel wells and down the side of your vehicle,  Also you may want to have your vehicle towed to the repair facility to be on the safe side.  Typically your insurance company will reimburse you the $50 for a tow.  It's better to be on the safe side.


  2. It should be in the ( as you are looking in the hood from the front of the vehicle)

    close to the windshield on the right hand side.

    If the brake pedal goes all the way to the floor, then yes you need fluid.

    However, this will not solve That problem, when the pedal goes to the floor

    , their has been air introduced into a liquid (hydraulic) system.

    The problem either lies with a broken brake line, or defective caliper/wheel cylinder/or master cylinder.
