BREEDING RABBITs??!!!?

Question

can i put a sterilized male in a pregnant rabbits cage? or will he eat the babies?

when can i put him back in?

ALSO

what age should i separate an unsterilized couple (he constantly buggs her to mate)

im going to breed them once and then neuter my buck

No it would be a really bad idea to put even a fixed male with a female and her kittens as he may kill them or she may kill them from being nervous. you can put the male with the kitens once they reach 6 to 8 weeks depending on how he acts towards them if he seems aggressive wait till they are 8weeks.

NO don't put a boy in with the girl. He will kill the babies if you stick him with them, because he is afraid that when they grow up they will rule over him. You can put him back in when the babies are about a month to a month and a half old. If he wants to mate her then pull them apart and keep them apart unless you want more babies

What are you going to do with the 12+ babies? The pet overpopulation problem is the result of the "just one litter" mentality. Then that one litter goes out into the world and has one litter and so on.

Your female may attack him. They are more territorial when they have babies and may kill him.

I raised show rabbits, Satins, Californians, and Hollands, for 6 years.  

I would not recommend keeping your buck in the same cage as the doe, pregnant or not.  Definitely take him out of the cage while she is pregnant because does become very territorial and may become physically aggressive.  She could kill him.  Don't worry about him eating the babies, your doe will take care of them.

I'm assuming the sterilized buck is not the same buck you plan on breeding at a later time.  When the unsterilized buck starts bugging your doe, that's the time to separate them.
