    because of the political situation the 4 rugby teams play under different anthems, the whole thing is BS it just encourages racism, i am patriotic, but that does not mean i want everyone to be born irish and i am right, its only divide for the banks, if someone didn't make money from it we would be known as planet earth.

    ENGLAND

    Anthem 4 England - English National Anthem4england seeks a new national anthem for England.

    http://www.anthem4england.co.uk

    England and the English have yet to decide whether or not to have a 'new' anthem for sporting occasions. There has been debate about this in the past, but no firm outcome.  Some want "Land of Hope and Glory" while others may want something else.

    England is still debating the issue of whether or not to have a new sporting and events anthem and which anthem.  You may wish to join the debate.

    My Notes:  Being Welsh I am entirely biased in favour of the Welsh anthem.  You only have to hear it sung at the Millenium Stadium by 40,000 Welsh voices to understand why and wish you were Welsh. Well, you don't have to be, just enjoy the experience.

    Here is lots more Welsh music/songs to get you going on a day at the Stadium when you know it's hopeless but you've just got to lift your spirits.

  14. we in wales have our own national anthem land of our fathers here is the english translation

    This land of my fathers is dear to me

    Land of poets and singers, and people of stature

    Her brave warriors, fine patriots

    Shed their blood for freedom

    Chorus:

    Land! Land! I am true to my land!

    As long as the sea serves as a wall for this pure, dear land

    May the language endure for ever.

    Old land of the mountains, paradise of the poets,

    Every valley, every cliff a beauty guards;

    Through love of my country, enchanting voices will be

    Her streams and rivers to me.

    Chorus

    Though the enemy have trampled my country underfoot,

    The old language of the Welsh knows no retreat,

    The spirit is not hindered by the treacherous hand

    Nor silenced the sweet harp of my land.

    Chorus

    And here are the actual words

    Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyl i mi,

    Gwlad beirdd a chantorion, enwogion o fri;

    Ei gwrol ryfelwyr, gwladgarwyr tra mâd,

    Tros ryddid gollasant eu gwaed.

    Chorus:

    Gwlad, Gwlad, pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad,

    Tra môr yn fur i'r bur hoff bau,

    O bydded i'r heniaith barhau.

    Hen Gymru fynyddig, paradwys y bardd;

    Pob dyffryn, pob clogwyn, i'm golwg sydd hardd

    Trwy deimlad gwladgarol, mor swynol yw si

    Ei nentydd, afonydd, i fi.

    Chorus

    Os treisiodd y gelyn fy ngwlad dan ei droed,

    Mae hen iaith y Cymry mor fyw ag erioed,

    Ni luddiwyd yr awen gan erchyll law brad,

    Na thelyn berseiniol fy ngwlad.

    Chorus

    England uses God Save the Queen, i was once present at a boxing fight in cardiff (jason robinson) where they asked the audience to stand up for the national anthem they made a mistake of singing god save the queen took about thirty minutes to clear the bottles LOL He was reigning champion in his own country

    Scotlands is Flower of Scotland which always sounds great

    Although neither are actually official or legal you try telling that to a Welsh or Scottish Person, although they should now be made legal with our own national assembilies

  15. There is only one national anthem, and its called "The national Anthem" its first line is God save our gracious Queen ( NOT God save the Queen), the rest are songs which have been chosen to represent the particular countries within the Union.
