Out of the two, I would say Ernie Els. Ernie is now being coached by Butch Harmon and his beginning to see better and better results. If it was not for a poor putting week he would have feature far more at the US Open.

I think Luke Donald could be a dark horse.

Sergio for sure.  With tiger out for the year, he has the best chance.  He has been playing consistent golf. while Els has been struggling with the putter.  Ernie will need a lot of help to make the leader board.

Both are very good. It depends mainly on the type of course they are playing. Good question. I would have to favor Sergio. He is overdue for a big win.

Garcia is playing well and his win at the Players Championship took a lot of pressure off him.  Els, with his new swing coach, still doesn't look comfortable.  Look for Lee Westwood this year.

I'm biased so I am going to bet on Ernie but hey there are lots of quality golfers in this field.  Anybody can win.

Sergio.  Not only does he have a stellar record in The Open Championship...he consistently does well...he has also been demonstrating an increased confidence with his putter.

Ernie's game has completely bottomed out.  He is certainly not on good form lately.  He showed a little promise at Torrey Pines but, true to form, he didn't have staying power.
