BSV Eynatten B1 B2 C1: Benjamin Jenne and Isabelle Dorao claim Mixed Doubles title
Belgium’s talented players, Benjamin Jenne and Isabelle Dorao have proved their superior skills as they have claimed Mixed Doubles title after crushing their compatriots, Tobias Xhonneux and Laurie Detilleux in the final clash of the 2012 BSV Eynatten B1 B2 C1, in Belgium, on Sunday, January 29.
The second seeded Benjamin and Isabelle showed their elite skills and won the fight against the lower ranked Tobias and Laurie, who were number three seeds in the championship. Benjamin and Isabelle played remarkable badminton in the title match and did not drop even a single game. They ended the fight in straight games by taking only 34 minutes.
The higher ranked Benjamin and Isabelle started their campaign in the final encounter in an impressing way as they played an attacking game. However, the lower ranked Tobias and Laurie also managed to progress closely in the opening half.
It was one of the most thrilling fights of the day as both sides put up superb show and remained close until the end of one-minute break in the first set.
After the break, Benjamin and Isabelle managed to set up a decent lead by playing flawless game from all area of the court.
On the other hand, Tobias and Laurie could not manage to dominate rallies in the concluding half of first game. Benjamin and Isabelle won the set with a decent score of 21-17.
In the second set, Tobias and Laurie put up strong resistance against their higher ranked country-mates and did not let them to build lead in the opening half.
Both sides tried their best to dominate the pace of rallies but failed to take any lead until the one-minute break.
However, Benjamin and Isabelle started to dominate the game in the ending half of second game. They played with precision and did not slow down their speed throughout the set. On the other hand, Tobias and Laurie committed unforced mistakes and remained trailing.
Benjamin and Isabelle were positive in the game and won it with a decent difference of 21-18. They bagged this Mixed Doubles final contest with a 21-17 and 21-18 score on the board.
