BSV Eynatten B1 B2 C1: Benoit Boursoit topples Tobias Xhonneux in the final showdown
Belgium’s Benoit Boursoit has stamped his supremacy in the Men’s Singles draw as he has toppled Tobias Xhonneux in final showdown of the BSV Eynatten B1 B2 C1 on Sunday, January 29, in Belgium.
The second seeded Benoit was in smashing form in the title match as he dominated the pace of game throughout the fight. He consumed just 35 minutes to register victory over his lower ranked country-mate.
Benoit took over the control of rallies from starting points of the match and finished it in straight games by showing no respect to his rival.
In the opening points, both Men showed their aggressive style of play and remained close until the end of opening half. They played fast badminton by taking the bird early and put up tremendous show of attacking game.
However, Benoit maintained his positive run in the first set while his opponent started to play quivering game. Tobias committed many unforced errors by throwing the bird out of the court. Until the break, Benoit managed to set up a reasonable lead.
After the break, Benoit became quicker at net and executed superb net shots which made his rival struggling to return the spinning bird. The higher ranked Benoit remained on track and did not let his challenger to reduce the deficit at any stage of the game.
Benoit was composed throughout the opening game and remained successful in winning it with a remarkable score of 21-14.
In the following game, Benoit stunned his opponent by playing at his maximum speed. He did not miss a single chance to bury the bird deep into his rival’s court. His superb net shots and accurate smashes created pressure on Tobias, who failed to play positive
game.
Benoit remained in control of the pace and kept his team-mate moving around in all corners of the court. Until the break, he set up a stunning lead over his rival.
After the break, Benoit continued his thrashing run in the match without slowing down the pace of rallies and won the set with a tremendous 21-7 margin on the score board.
Benoit bagged this final encounter in 35-minute with an overall score of 21-14 and 21-7.
