Question:

BSc in TU Delft for an Engineering programme for 3 years?

I'm interested in joining TU Delft for an engineering programme in Aerospace offered in English.

I was kind of surprised to know that it takes only 3 years for a Bachelor's degree in any of the engineering disciplines at TUD.

I know that engineering takes at least 4 years in all of other universities, and some take even more.

My questions are:

1. Why is it only 3 years? Is it regarded at the same level with other engineering programmes at other univerisities which take 4-6 years?

2. Does anyone know about this university? I know its highly ranked but is it a good choice for engineering? Would you recommend it?

Here is the link that mentions its 3 years from the official website of TU Delft:

Thanks in advance.

  1. I've heard of the university. It's supposed to be good.

Many universities and programs in Europe are changing due to the Bologna Process, whose purpose is/was to create the European higher education area by making academic degree standards and quality assurance standards more comparable and compatible throughout Europe. Therefore, most European universities are moving frm 4-year degrees to 3-year bachelor programs. Mot likely you'll have to go on and do a masters in order to have the full degree program.
