Question:

BT Billing question?

I'm having a major headache with Bt over my bill and was wondering if anyone can give me some advice?

I got a huge bill from BT so I phoned up to sort it out. I've talked to four different people over the course of my investigation and each one has told me conflicting information.

The last person I talked to told me that BT had NEVER recieved a payment for my phone line and that was why the bill was so large. I've checked with my bank and looked at my statements and they show that the corect ammount is going out by direct debit. I've also checked with Bt to make sure that they have the correct account information on their records.

It all checks out. Evidently my moneys leaving my bank account and vanishing into thin air? This is just for my phone line however - my broadband is another story.

Also I've been paying £25 per month for my broadband since I first opened my account and have missed one payment which I then paid over the phone the following week with a £10 char

  2. Hi KiY,

Sorry, but there is a queue. There are about 1 million other people in front of you with the same sort of problem. Companies the size of BT just don't care. When you phone them, you only talk to (eventually) an operator who can only say what is on the screen in front of them. Keep EVERY single piece of paperwork and record all phone numbers - best of all, do it in writing only.

Sadly, if things got serious and they are proved to be at fault, you'll get the usual......"Bt are very concerned etc etc etc we are deeply sorry etc etc staff training etc etc etc -and then thats the end of it .... until 3 yrs down the road when they pass you on to debt collectors 'cos they've not ammended their records.
