BT Response 75 Answering Machine "memory...

This machine worked fine until just after the warranty expired(!?) Now, if there is 1 message on the machine callers get the message "Memory Full". There are no other messages on the machine, all messages have been deleted, the memory is certainly not full. Has any one else experienced this problem?
