BT Total Broadband?

Question

I ordered BT Total Broadband, option 3. By doing this i got the Phone Hub free, which means that i can use that to dial free after 6pm to a landline number using my broadband connection. My landline number is with a different company (talk talk). If i were to cancal talk talk, does this mean i will loose my free calls with talk talk on my landline, and have to use my Phone Hub to ring out all the time, or is there a way to switch my landline to the bt broandband package for the free calls. Also the Broadband no. is different than that off my landline, anyway of changing it so i use just one number, with my area code (ie, 028 *** *****) in stead of the 05 no for broadband

if you cancel talk talk it means you would get no service from them as they are your call carrier (cps), so all you calls would go over the bt network, the way BB talk works is if you make you calls through your broadband it would be cheaper and you get free calls to local and national numbers in the evenings and weekend, you can't just have one number as it is two separate services, if someone called you on your BB talk number your land line would ring as well so you don't need to give people your BB talk number, you can get a BB talk number that doesn't start 05 now you would need to call BB service on 150 and they can change it for you hope this helps, if you need anymore help just email me

we have this package with bt also, and we don't understand it either all i know is my first bill was for £240, i rang and they said i was paying 3 months in advance, which they didn't tell me when we singhd up, we have got to wait another 14 months to get out of this contract,and i Carnot wait to get out of it.

i think you should be able to switch to bt and still have free weekends and evenings (up to an hour locally or something) but i'm not too sure x

i'm on bt same package as you & to tell you the truth i do not understand it all myself, my landline is also with bt & have 2 differant phone numbers for my house both of them are free after 6 & at weekends. i don't use my hub phone at all as it will only end up costing me more
