Question:

BT Vision? Any good?

I currently subscribe to Sky TV's full package at £48 per month but i'm thinking of switching to BT Vision but I'm slightly confused about how it works. I'll have the top package but the guy on the phone left me quite confused about how you don't have access to channels, just stuff on demand (like Virgin Media??) Do you still get all of the programmes? Is there a record/live pause facility like Sky ? How long after a programme has been on can you access it on demand? I'm very confused and want some feedback before I switch.

  1. ive got Bt vision

im a cheapskate though ive only got their Tv package

    it suits me fine though

basically you just press one button "BT Vision" and it brings up menu - TV (my package), recordings, movies, sports, etc

you can pause and rewind live TV (you can only rewind it to the point you started watching it at)

theres a 7 day TV guide

press the red R button once to record, press it twice to record the whole series

that feature is ace!  but its the same as sky plus isnt it?

  2. keep sky. i have bt v

and it is c**p even b4 it rains.

    after forget it. watch terrestrial.

  3. i dont think its very good

you have to pay for all the films and some of the tv series on top of your subscription

if your £48 sky bill is too much for you per month yust nock a few of the channels off that you dont watch eg: sports or music

    thats what we did

  4. Your right to have felt confused - stick with your Sky +  but reduce it to the basic pack with broadband and add on Setanta.. the movies are rubbish and Sky sports is naff   - BT is far too expensive and their V boxes have a habit of freezing...
