  1. I presume this is part of BT's 21stC plan where the whole of the UK will be joined virtually to your door with fibre optic. There will be a facility then for cheap VOIP, video on demand, and data transmission; the convergence of data, video and voice. Mobile phones will also link through their hotspots using VOIP.

BT have a thing now that if you sign up you can use other members wireless broadband and they can use theirs (like hotspots which seems quite useful, as long as it is secure) Again BT leading the way.

  2. even I am not geeky enough to get excited about that!...the net is fast enough for me

  3. It actually says that 10 million homes will have it by 2012.  Alright if you live around the capital city which is where it will be installed first I presume.

Anyway, I wouldn't hold my breath as BT took 2 years to find and fix a problem with my internet/phone line.

I feel I know the total population of India personally the amount of times I spoke to them on the helplines.

  4. I am happy but I hope they are going to make some good unlimited bandwidth usage deals with it.

  5. sorry to be pessimistic but do you really believe everything you read/hear?

    NO offense intended ok friend!

guess who`s going to pay for it-if it happens.

also will be -wherever possible-like `up to 8mb-which no-one gets.

  6. The internet will no longer be here in 2012 , it will be used by over goverment to watch us sleeping and eating .....

  7. I'm with BT, but I don't want to wait that long, so I'm switching to Virgin next month as they already use high speed fibre optic.

  8. we have bt also,i think my nehew is pinching some of mine some how, lol,i dont know what the speed is supposed to be anyway,i know i have put a little thing where my clock is,saying local area connection 100.0,mbps.but for some reason it seems slow today, especially since i have up graded to fire fox 3.apart from that i am happy with the service also.

  9. KEEP DREAMING

    BT ARE RUBBISH
