  1. all buses have either a yellow push or cord

you pull to signal the driver you want the next stop

or you can always go up to the driver and tell you want the next stop

    they are human you know!

  2. JUST JUMP OFF LOL

  3. Ring the bell.  And who's marking down all the correct answers?

  4. Most buses have something you press or pull to ring a bell that tells the driver to stop....

.... or you can just jump like the one before me said

  5. There is usually a cord or pressure strip near the window.  That signals the driver to stop at the next stop.  Generally, it is a good idea to signal as soon as he leaves the stop before yours so he has time to get over to the curb.

  6. I think most buses have a pull cord that you pull and a light comes on near the driver that tells him to stop

  7. pull the little thingy up top.

    or just tell him.

  8. TELL HIM TO STOP.

    that was easy

  9. Ring the bell, let the bus stop, thank the nice driver! Get off.

  10. As you get on the bus, ask the driver.  He will let you know if there's a pull cord, buttons, a press strip or how to activate the stop requested signal.

Make sure to give the driver plenty of time to stop the bus, at least a city block or 100 yards.

  11. Depending on the model of the bus and the city you living in, every bus show have either a cord, a strip along the colum between the side window or a button on the hand bars. Press the button or the strip, or pull the cord and the bus driver will alerted to you stop request.

If the bus stop has no one waiting for the bus, the bus will by pass the stop  and go on to the next one. If the are people waiting for the bus at the next stop, the bus will stop and pick up passengers.

I hope this information is very helpful. Good luck.

  12. Ring the bell by you.

  13. Depends on type of model of buses, buses are equipped with tape, red STOP button, buzzer/bell.

In NYC, buses, well as Westchester Bee-Line buses, Transport of Rockland County, CT Transit and SEPTA pulled cord or press tape to STOP REQUEST. In order to do that, you must press either of them two blocks before your stop.

Express buses in NYC and Tappan Zee Express has red button on roof marked STOP well as new hybrid bus has button as well. This will work same way as pull cord or tape.

On Battery Park City shuttle bus, it is equipped with bell chime and you press exit bell and bell indicate driver you're getting off.

If buses are overcrowded, buses would skip stop unless if someone STOP REQUEST.

If buses are empty and no one waiting at stops, and if no one did not STOP REQUEST, bus will skip.

If you don't know the stop, and ask driver to announcement your stop.

In Nassau County, NY,  some Long Island Buses are equipped with recorded announcement to tell what bus route is this and also make all bus stops announcement.

In Westchester County Bee-Lines, some are equipped with announcement, so passenger would know what buses getting on.

    One more thing:

    Local buses- Make all stops.

Limited buses- Make major stops or heavy attractions only. If you got on bus marked LIMITED, it means limited stop.

Most USA cities are marked X for express service and in NYC, express buses are design for pickup or drop-off which way you're heading to.
