Put together a business plan which outlines everything about your business idea.  This will include marketing, equipment needed, financing needed, etc.  The SBA has tons of resources that can help you.... www.sba.gov.

Once you have a plan, find investors.  Talk with everyone you know and see if you can find angel investors who will front you money for a piece of the pie.  If the plan makes sense and the business idea is good enough, people will invest.  Don't give up!!  Go for it!

Get some starting resources (money, equipment, etc) and do it. All the formal stuff you'll learn along the way.

OK. the first answer is correct. there is an easier way to say it. Money.

If you can get enough of that you can start any business. Look at the c**p they put on TV for sale for 19.95.
