Question:

BYU Independant Study Course?

Some of the Independant Study courses that are offered to high school students through BYU are offered as either online courses or pencil and paper through the mail. I've taken one online course through BYU and I disliked having to stare at a computer screen. Are the pencil and paper courses any better? Does it take a long time to finish it since all the assignments have to be sent through the mail?

  1. I know someone who did BYU and they said that the paper courses were better for science. It shouldn't take a long time to finish either. Just don't spend 2 weeks on the same course, or else you will start to not like it.

    Hope that helps :)

  2. It's the same amount of work, whether it's printed off or on-screen.  But if you learn better doing it with pencil and paper, then try that route.  My friend did a PE class that way through BYU, jogging, and he just had to record all of his mileage and things like that, so he opted to do it the way that suited him best.

  3. homeschooling isnt as good as public or private schooling
