Newcastle United striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Demba-Ba-c10812 has said that he is enjoying his stay at the Sports Direct Arena and has no intention of leaving the club in the summer.
The Senegalese player is reported to have drawn interest from Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, with the Blues aiming making him their prime target, in order to replace http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044.
Drogba is believed to be leaving http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in the summer and has been already linked with a possible move to Italian Serie A side, Juventus.
Ba, who has scored 16 goals for the Magpies this season, has turned down the possibility of leaving Newcastle and said that he is having a great time at the club.
"It is rumours, like you get in football.” He said.
"I am happy with Newcastle and I enjoy being here and playing for the Toon Army. I enjoy being in this team. We have a good team spirit and I love the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/North-East-c40078, where I have my country-mate Papiss Cisse."
Ba came to Sports Direct Arena in 2011 from West Ham United and is the leading goal scorer for the Magpies in the current season. During his one year stint at West Ham, the player made 13 appearances and found the back of the net on 7
occasions.
Meanwhile, West Ham’s co-owner http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Sullivan, believes that Ba could leave Newcastle United in the coming summer if the club does not sign a new deal with the player.
Tottenham’s manager Harry Redknapp revealled that the striker’s release clause is less than seven million pounds, instead of 10 million pounds stated by Newcastle.
“I think you will find it is a lot less than that." Said Redknapp.
When asked by reporters whether the release clause was seven million pounds, the Spurs boss responded by saying that it was even less than that.
Sullivan warned the Magpies that the Senegalese ace will probably leave Newcastle if the club fails to deal with his much talked about release clause. Ba left Upton Park on a free, in the summer following the Hammers relegation from the
Premier League. The player from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Senegal-c3001, who came to West Ham from the German club Hoffenheim on a three and a half year deal, made an agreement with the Hammers that he would leave the club in case they were relegated.
Sullivan predicted that the player would either leave Newcastle or the club will give him a massive pay raise.
“They keep denying it, but I think you'll see in the summer he will leave Newcastle, or he'll get a monstrous rise to stay there.” He said.
