Babar Azam dreams of playing for Pakistan – Cricket News Update
The captain of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Babar-Azam-c1122 has expressed his desire to play for his country at the highest level of the game, and added that he is high on confidence after performing well in the recent tours of Zimbabwe and South Africa.
The 17-year-old cricketer from Lahore is a top order batsman and can bowl useful off-spin. The youngster has previous played the Under-19 World Cup and he impressed all with his temperament and all-round skills.
The right-hander represents the Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) in domestic cricket and is considered amongst the most talented young players in the country.
As captain of the Under-19 team, Azam has many challenges coming his way in the shape of the Asia Cup and the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Under-19 World Cup later this year.
In his interview with pakpassion, Azam said that he was satisfied with his individual performances against South Africa and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045 and this has given him confidence. He is lucky to be playing along some of the best Pakistani cricketers in the domestic
circuit, and this is helping him to gain maturity. The all-rounder is doing well in the on-going 50-over competition in the country.

four position.”
While speaking about his future, Babar feels that every young cricketer wants to play for his country and this remains his ultimate goal as well. However, the all-rounder is taking things as they come and his immediate goal is to do well with the junior
team, and to make an impression in first-class cricket, before he harbours any thoughts of playing internationally.
“Playing international cricket is the dream of every professional cricketer, but I'm not letting that dream affect what I am doing at the moment. The next step from Under 19 cricket is to establish myself in domestic cricket,” he added.
