Rhein Neckar Arena team manager has backed his side’s shot-stopper following the newly acquired player’s poor run of form, conceding 15 goals since the start of the new campaign.
Hoffenheim head coach Markus Babbel has come to the support of under fire goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tom-c35214 Starke
make a dream move to Bayern Munich and replaced him with Werder Bremen goalie.
The hate among the club supporters grew even further after they faced a 5-3 defeat at the hands of Freiburg in the Bundesliga. This was the side’s fourth consecutive loss but despite the poor start, Babbel claims that the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904
international is not the only one to single out and blame for the team’s woeful performance in the new season.
The manager stated that he has grown tired of the blame given to one person and has asked people to stop with the nonsense by claiming that the reason behind their loss was not the club custodian. He said that the attacking players
did not score enough goals to secure a comfortable victory and missed a few goal-scoring chances.
"Enough already - that is not the problem. We should have scored five or six goals,” Babbel was quoted as saying in an interview.
The 40-year-old added that he was frustrated by the team for conceding unnecessary free kicks which proved costly for the away side. The tactician stressed that his side spurned a lot of good opportunities and had they been availed
they would have surely won the away match.
"What annoys me the most are the two set-pieces. We had numerous chances which we did not use,” the former Bayern Munich, Hamburg and Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 central defender added.
"When I see the way [Freiburg forward Cedric] Makiadi is stood there all alone, that is totally unnecessary. We have got to get rid of these silly little mistakes," he finally concluded.
Babbel believes they should have closed down Freiburg’s attacker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cedric-Makiadi-c8641 and feels they also need to avoid making blunders at the back.
