The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 international is not in Hoffenheim’s plans for the new season following the termination of his deal with the Bundesliga outfit on Thursday, after enduring a difficult spell in Rhein Neckar Arena.
The Dutch star will not be included in the team squad for their upcoming clash with Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday. The 25-year-old youngster netted six times in 51 games after joining from Premier League outfit http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 in 2011.
The coach confirmed that they are not looking to add any player after the departure of the winger.
The team manager, Markus Babbel, is well aware of the feeling one gets when he is not needed and he will come face to face to the person who told him the ugly truth in his near retirement days. Moreover, the club official does
not share a feeling of resentment towards his former coach.
Frankfurt boss Armin Veh was taking care of Stuttgart when Babbel was a fringe player in 2007 following the Bundesliga title win in the same year. He retired on the advice of his manager and admits the decision was a good one as
he became a liability for the German team.
"He told me that I was no longer good enough for the first team," said Babbel.
Babbel conceded that he admires his mentor’s truthfulness and believes that the veteran manager was always very true to his word.
"I have learnt to treasure this honesty. Even when I was his assistant coach, he was always straight to the point and would say what he thought. I always liked that," he added.
Moreover, the Hoffenheim club official has repeated the same experience with the Dutch forward by stating that he was not to feature for the Bundesliga club.
"Everybody is fit and no changes are planned. We will remain attack-minded and stick to the same system. We played well against Leverkusen after a good pre-season and I would definitely like the lads to come into this game with
self-confidence," Veh stressed.
Frankfurt team have a clean bill of health ahead of their game with Hoffenheim following their beating of Bayer Leverkusen. Veh maintained that he will not change his winning side.
