Question:

Babies....?

One night I was at a church meeting and there was a woman sitting near me who had a lovely little baby - his mum had brought some toys with her for him to play with, but he didn't want them - he seemed more interested in playing with the piece of paper the order of service was written on!

How come babies get so much pleasure out of simple things? It must be wonderful to be so innocent...

  1. my nephew got some amazing presents for his first christmas (he was 7 months old) and his first birthday but seemed more amused by the wrapping paper and climbing in the cardboard boxes!!

his favourite toys at the moment are a wooden spoon (for cooking) and a broom,

    bless!!!

  2. They like to see new things and experiment. The toys his mom had might have been toys he plays with all the time.

  3. its probably the colours and textures and the noise the things make. the older and wiser you get, the less appealing they are. "conciousness is a terrible curse."

  4. babies are so unique becauser they have such rich mental faculties and an array of sensual inputs which they are suddenly plunged into at birth. much like a dog is constantly sniffing as he is bombarded with smells in strange places, a baby is constasntly exploring his world full of new and fascinatiing sensual experiences. in short, imagine how intersting the world would be if EVERYTHING around you was brand new
