Babies wearing jeans what your opinion?

I have heard before that you shouldn't put jeans on babies until they start walking. Why is this? Do you put jeans on your newborn?

I haven't put any jeans on my daughter yet, but I think they're so cute on babies. I wouldn't buy any uncomfortable jeans for her, but she can't wear them now anyways it's way too hot where I live. I don't think you aren't supposed to though, I'm sure it's okay.

Ive never heard that. My neice wore jeans all the time. And if my son could wear his Id put em on him. Right now hes too small.

Nope.  Never heard that.  I've heard you don't want to put shoes on them until they begin walking so that their feet aren't stunted but no, not jeans.

My only concern would be that its just one more thing to take off your newborn to change diapers.  I don't do anything with any type of pant as its just too much to do!  But thats just me.

i never understood the whole putting a suit and dress shoes on a new born. have you ever seen this? its ridiculous! how could anyone be expected to sleep in that kind if an outfit?? i guess  i kinda feel the same about jeans on a baby- whats the point?

i have never heared anything like that i put jeans on my baby never hurt anything. if you want your baby to wear jeans go for it.

I dont think i did put jeans on my newborn.  I have never heard that either.  I was all about comfort when she was an infant.  I think I she wore jeans around 3-6 months but not often.  As she grew older I tried to put her in them but she always squirmed...now at 2 she is not a big jean wearer either.

My DD has worn jeans since she was about 3 months old.

My 3 month old wears jeans for sure, they look adorable! She has worn little jeans since she was about a week old, they were really soft jeans from Gap and had buttons for easy diaper changing! I don't see anything wrong with it.

my son is 4 months old and he wear jeans, i never heard anyone said u must not put jeans on a newborn before, that's new to me and kinda weird

ugh, I hate babies in grown up clothes. They look so uncomfortable. Let the babies be babies, and keep 'em in soft cotton rompers and footed sleepers.

And no hard soled shoes on babies either!

I've never heard that, and I've put jeans on my babies from about 3 months on, but not often because I don't find jeans very comfortable so I would imagine they wouldn't either.  They aren't very easy to maneuver when changing diapers either, so I try to stick with onesies and sleepers the first few months.

our son's worn jeans from about 3 months on some days...I've never heard you shouldn't.

Never heard that and I don't see what would be wrong with baby jeans. My nephew wore them --all three of them. They were all just fine. It's just dangerously cute ;)
