  1. add some details to help out people so they know what ur playing style is. I'm guessing that since u r looking at these rackets ur style is that u put in ur own power and are an advanced player. SO, if this is true, i wud suggest the cortex.

Overall, in my opinion, wilson rackets are better, better headsize , better quality, and better than Babalot Rackets.

  2. It really depends on your game.  If you generate a lot of power and spin by yourself, like I do, then I think the Pure Drive is a better choice.  The AeroPro is better if you need some extra pop on your shots.  The Pure Drive is very durable, and the person who cracked their's must've not been very careful, because the head is freakishly stiff and hard to break.

Even then, with the two racquets you are deciding between, the AeroPro is better, but if you looked at the Pure Drive RODDICK Plus, I would go with that one.  It is slightly heavier than the regular Pure Drive, but in all, a much better racquet.  On Tennis-Warehouse, I think the Roddick is only like $5 more expensive, if at all, than the Pure Drive.  If you like the Cortex system, all three racquets I mentioned have it.  The Cortex thing dampens the shock from the impact of the ball.

For strings, I would also get the Babolat Pro Hurricane Tour, which is like $12 on TW, unless you're willing to spend like $25 on Pro Hurricane Tour and Babolat VS Gut hybrid stringing, like Andy Roddick uses.

    Hope I helped,

  3. I prefer the aeropro drive.  It is easier to swing, and while you won't generate quite as much pace, but your shots will have much more spin.  It is easier to change direction in rallies too.  Try pairing it with babolat pro hurricane tour 16 string for even more feel and spin.

If you do want the aeropro, try it without the cortex too.  It has the same specs, and I actually prefer the feel of the non cortex version.

  4. Last year I was looking for a new racket and bought the pure drive. I was pretty happy with it, it's a good racket, but it slipped out of my hand and cracked all the way through. we called Babolat and they sent me a free replacement, but I had a tournament and the racket wouldn't come in time, so I borrowed the AeroPro from my tennis shop. I noticed a HUGE difference- everything about the AeroPro seemed a step above the Pure Drive- control, power, maneuverability, access to spin... the big thing was control, the AeroPro was much better with that.

Stick with Babolat, you've made a good choice. I had been looking for the perfect racket for about a year, I'd tried about every racket out there, and these two from Babolat were by far the best. I'd say go with the AeroPro. Good luck!
