Baby Bird How Do I Take Care???

ok,

I found a baby bird..

injured -my friends grandma

nursed it back to health and

well not quite full health,

it will not fly..

its wing colors is like a bright gold

it is soo cute!

it is also so very small and tiny!

what do i feed it?

How to hold?

  1. Hi PikaGirl! sorry, but you need to go with Birdgirl on this one. It is illegal to keep a wildbird, and you do need to take it to a wildlife rehab center. :( I know it'll be hard to let it go, but you have to know what's best for the little birdie. :)

  3. You cannot keep a wild bird. It isn't fair to the bird, and it is also illegal; you could be fined several thousand dollars or spend time in prison for possessing a wild animal, no matter how good your intentions are. You need to take the bird to a wildlife rehabilitator that can care for it properly; there's a good regional list at http://www.tc.umn.edu/~devo0028/contact.... that can help you find someone near you. That is the best thing you can do to help the bird.

  4. You need to get this bird to an expert at a local wildlife rehab.  It is illegal for you to even have this bird in your possession, they are protected by law.  A rehab can hopefully nurse it back to health so that it can be released back into the wild where it belongs.  Look here for a rehab near you:
