Question:

Baby Bump?

I have PCOS and weight 275lbs. I am working with my GYN to start a cycle of Femara - hopefully on Tuesday. My Dr. hasn't said anything about my weight and doesn't seem terribly concerned about it. If I do get pregnant will I ever have a baby bump and if so about when does it appear?

  1. not to be mean but if you are that much i do not think you will see the baby bump... and being so overweight can cause a lot of major health risks to you and the baby if you do get pregnant.. you really need to look into it.

  2. You probably won't get much of a baby bump until very late in a pregnancy.  I'm surprised your Doc doesn't seem concerned as being overweight (or underweight) can cuase many problems in pregnancy.

  3. Being obese, it may be harder to notice an actual bump. I have a couple of obese friends, and both of them got a firm bump on top, while their fat on their lower stomachs just kind of sagged downwards... it looked kind of like a double tummy

And I'm definitely not meaning to be rude! Just giving my honest observations from experience :)

  4. I suppose it depends on the woman. My cousin was around 250-275 when she got pregnant and you really couldn't tell or see a baby bump.
