Baby Girl Name Need Help!!!?

Question

I was decided on the name Aurora for my 1st baby girl , but everyone in my family seems to hate the name , so I was thinking about just nameing her Rory. Then I heard the name Romy and instantly fell in love with it , and so did my husband and the rest of our family. But now for some reason everytime I hear Romy I think of Raw Meat. I have also recently come across the name Landry and I really like it. Middle name will be Katherine.

Trust your instincts.  It's your child and your decision.  Plus when she grows up and asks how she got her name, do you really want to tell her from someone who had the best answer on yahoo answers?

Maybe Laurel or Lory, that could be a good medium. Don't call your daughter what my  sister called my niece "Maria Dream Crusher"

Name the child the name your love

Aurora Katherine, Rori for short is cute

Romana Katherine, Romy for short, this way you will not think of Raw Meat

You are really putting a lot of thought into it.  Naming a baby is very stressful♥

I love the name Aurora and think you could use Rory as a nickname.  Aurora will grow with the little lady better then the cutesy Rory.

Romy is a tough one.  It is unique and could remind you of Raw Meat until the end of time.  I would say you should mark it off of your list.

Landry is very cute and unique.  Not a lot of nickname possibilities but who needs a nickname with a cute name like that.  

I think Aurora Katherine is adorable (your family will adjust) and Landry Katherine is very cute too.

My mom hated the name Troy we picked for our 1st son.  We named him it anyway and have NEVER regretted it!  Once the "name" is a little person and no longer a name, feelings change.  This is your daughter, name her YOUR favorite name!!!

ps Aurora is CUTE and shortened to Rory is cuter!!!  It is a classy name!

Landry Katherine sounds gorgeous, I like it a lot. Flows very pretty too. I agree with you about Romy and Raw Meat! But now, the more I say Landry, laundry tends to roll off my tongue.

I like Aurora, Rory, and Landry! They are all adorable. Don't let your family sway you in name picks. We have heard so many opinions since letting people know our name choices and I wish we had kept it in! I get so tired of hearing, "My neighbored named their dog that..." or "That won't be a successful name when she is older..."

It depends on it you want your baby name to be popular or unique. I personaly like Reina. Reina means Queen in Spanish and if you had your baby in the spring you can assocate Reina with spring rain flowers etc. Good luck let me know what you name her. :D

Aurora is a gorgeous name, I don't know what they have against it but it's your choice so you shouldn't bother with what they think. If you like it go for it!

If it bugs them that much call her Rora or Rory for short.

Landry is a name I have love since I was eight! I don't know why but the second I heard it- BANG- loved it. Basically I think you should go with either Aurora or Landry because they can both go with Katherine.

Then again, in the end it is entirely your choice so go with whatever you like. Good luck!!

I think you should name your baby what you like. Aurora is pretty. Rory would be a perfect nick name. Landry is also pretty. Wait till you see her to decide.
