Baby Names opinions please - or list any other names you like

Question

Having a hard time deciding on a name, and we are not sure what we are having yet.

Boy Names:

Seth

Brody

Cohen

Payton

Girls Names:

Maddox

Sydney

Ryleigh

Cohen is a Jewish last name.  If this is not a family name, I wouldn't suggest using it.

Ryleigh is about the worst misspelling of Reilly I have ever seen.

Maddox is a boy's name - if it's even truly a first name at all.

The only names on here that might be appropriate are Seth and Sidney (not Sydney).

I like Ryleigh and Payton. Its cute. And its kind of rare.

try Rylee, Rylie, or Riley instead of Ryleigh. Leigh just makes it more letters.

A couple names seem interchangeable. Payton and Sydney could be  names for either. Along with Ryleigh, spelled Riley for a boy.  I am just giving a girls name, Savannah.

For boy names I only like Brody.  I might also suggest names such as Blake, Breck, Chase, or Cole.

For the girl names I only like Sydney.  Since it seems you like names that aren't incredibly common I would suggest Tayah, Tabitha, Sabrina.

Maddox should be on the boys list and Payton on the girls.

Maddox is way too masculine for a little girl. I don't really get why little girls are being named names like Parker, Logan, Hunter etc. but they sound very harsh for a girl and I would have personally hated that. Lots of boys names are being used on girls these days, including Payton, but some of them are too masculine and Maddox would be on that list.

I also think Payton is too feminine sounding for a little boy, and is now very commonly used on girls so Its not fair or nice to give that name to a boy.  I know a handful of little girls under 5 or 6 named Payton right now.

I LOVE Cohen and Brody. I would definitely go with one of them.

Sydney and Ryleigh aren't too bad. (I like Rylee or Rylie better then Leigh)  and Maddox would make a great boys name.

Well, you're obviously naming your son after Adam Brody haha. I'd go with Brody.

Don't name a girl Maddox! I actually have a hard time seeing it as a first name in general because it's my last name, but it's ok for a boy, definitely not a girl, sorry. I'd go with Ryleigh.

They sound very 'american' (sorry!). If I had to pick one from that list I would probably go with Maddox.

Boy names I like are Bryson, Lucas, Landon, Colby, Owen, Cooper

I like Brody and Cohen for a boy and none of those girl names.  Maddox is Angelina Jolie's son's name and so now everyone has related that name to a boy.  She'll be mistaken for one.
