Baby Possum - What do I do?

I have a baby possum living in my garage. How do I get it to leave? I don't want to hurt it. Animal control will not help, because I'm outside city limits. I've tried to trap it, that did'nt work. Any ideas?

  1. Lol well I actually had an oppusum (an adult one) that was prowling around my house a few years ago and it kept leaving its droppings and stuff. It normally stayed in our downstairs but we trapped it in a box and let it out outside. For you it seems easier seeing as its a baby and its only staying in you garage.

Basically all you should do is kind of set up a trail that leads outside. What you should do is stack up stuff and make walls as the trails so that it leads outside. Food also helps to lead the opposum outside.

  2. Leave the door open all day sometime when you are home and let it leave on its own. Leave some food outside the door to lour it out. Then close the door when hes out.

    Hope this helped!

  3. Maybe put an ad in your local paper. Someone out there may be interested in wild animals and they can catch it for you.
