  1. Make sure their water is warm enough- do you have a small glass water heater in there? if the water they are swimming in is too cold, they will think it is time to hibernate and they will stop eating. My cousin and I both had turtles- I kept mine at 70 degrees water approx, and he didn't bother to heat his water. Mine grew and his stayed the same and hardly ate. 3 years later, when I told him he should probably be heating the water a bit, his started packing in the food and ended up growing to 10 inches long in a relatively short time!

also- you are trying to feed them in the water- aren't you? that's where they do all their eating. You can try and perk up their appetites with some worms too. Good luck.

  2. Do not feed them algae or lettuce.

Most baby aquatics will eat small invertebrates; few can resist tiny earthworms.

To get them started, keep them separately in small containers of shallow water. This way, they are sure to find their food. Water temp should be mid 70's f.

Are you sure they are Reeve's turtles? Although you don't say where you found them, Reeve's is an Asian species.

You should properly identify them, and then thoroughly that species care needs. Most baby turtles die quickly due to improper care.

  3. What kind of food are you feeding them? Is it turtle food that has vitiman d3 and calcium? Try ripping some lettece up and feeding that to them...thats what I do for my turtles...but they could just be scared of new surroundings, not only that but turtles dont have to eat everyday...i used to feed my turtles everyday and started to notice they werent eating, so I talked to the local vet and he told me that it was fine just to try to feed them every other day. If all else fails take them to a local vet or call and see what he has to say about the situation.
