Baby Run the hot favourite for the Bet365 Gold Cup: Horse Racing news
This horse racing season, the fans of the sport have been treated to a great deal of quality racing. One of the most eagerly anticipated races that have been scheduled to take place in the upcoming days is the Bet365 Gold Cup.
The racehorse who is so far the hot favourite for the event is Baby Run, who is all set to prove his talent and potential in the meeting. Many champion racehorses were ruled out of the Gold Cup after the five-day stage that took place on Monday. This left
Baby Run as the only dominating racehorse for Saturday’s race.
Baby Run was the winner of the John Smith’s Fox Hunters’ Chase that was a feature race of the prestigious John Smith’s Grand National event that took place at the Aintree racecourse. He is leading the Gold Cup market with odds as short as 11-2.
Baby Run's closest competitor is the racehorse Balthazar King. He is the winner of the Cheltenham Festival that took place last month and has been quoted as a 6-1 favourite. Meanwhile, it has also been revealed that the famous sponsors Stan James have made
the trainee of Philip Hobbs their favourite, and will be sending out the racehorse to contend the Gold Cup at odds of 5-1.
The spokesman for Stan James, Pat Cooney, confirmed the sponsor's outright support for the racehorse Aimigayle, who is now a 10-1 shot, whereas he was first being quoted at 25.
The stable mate of the racehorse, who is also the winner of the Aintree meeting, Wishfull Thinking has been ruled out of the Bet365 Gold Cup as his connections want him to perform better at the Punchestown Festival.
On the other hand, a host of champion racehorses which includes the names of Quinz, The Midnight Club, Arbor Supreme and Blazing Bailey have also been ruled out of the Gold Cup. These horses have been ruled out of the event since they were not able to recover
from the intense exertion caused at the Aintree racecourse during the Grand National meeting.
