I love all animals, or at the very least for some icky ones I respect them.  I don't think we should be looking at them as a commodity but not as humans either. they are animals full of life and deserve respect, but they are also there to fulfill needs we may have for food clothing etc.

I mean no one gets mad at a lion (well maybe some do) when it kills a animal to eat do they? humans are not gods we are not self sustaining we can't walk on water or turn stones into food and clothing or pay taxes with our fish hooks. we can't just tell a predator about to kill us to just go away, we don't have that kind of power, but a gun sure can even the odds a bit.
