Baby Shine and Native Beauty strongest among the fourteen contesting for the Betdaqangel Free Betdaq Software Novices’ Hurdle 15th February
Southwell will stage the Class 4 Betdaqangel Free Betdaq Software Novices’ Hurdle on Wednesday, 15th February. The two miles four furlongs and 110 yards track will get invaded by any army of fourteen runners that are four-year-old and above. The purse for the winner is £2,534.
Relatively threatening for the lineup could be the Beneficial’s five-year-old bay gelding out of mare Sorcera, It’s A Gimme who has won two out of the six starts and has been placed in two.
He won the EBF “Junior” Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race on 5th December at Exeter against the 5/2 favourite of the race, Allez Les Rouges and ended the 2011 season by winning the Inkerman London “National Hunt” Maiden Hurdle on 25th November at Newbury. This victory was against 5/4 favourite of the race, Mono Man.
It’s A Gimme was second in his seasonal debut in the Bathwick Tyres “National Hunt” Novices’ Hurdle and was entered as a 5/6 favourite.
Another strong entry in the race is Milan’s five-year-old bay gelding out of mare Super Size, Talkonthestreet, who has been consistently ridden by Richard Johnson. Through the four races that he took part in, his ranking has not gone below three. He won once and stood second twice.
He cleared his maiden stakes on 17th April 2011 and was second in the Dennis Hoffman 82nd Birthday Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race where he was sent as a 2/1 favourite.
Thomas Crapper, who is the five-year-old bay gelding of Tamure out of mare Mollycarrs Gambul, is an entry with a high probability of winning the race as his position through the last three starts out of the four career races has been sustained to above four.
Thomas Crapper’s seasonal debut was in the Southwell “National Hunt” Maiden Hurdle on 4th January at Southwell, in which he finished third.
The two horses who have been successful in their seasonal debuts are Baby Shine and Native Beauty. Baby Shine has won the European Breeders’ Fund Mares’ “National Hunt” Novices’ Hurdle on 24th January at Leicester while Native Beauty stormed off with the Haygain Hay Steamers – Clean Healthy Hay Novices’ Hurdle (Division I) on 22nd January at Towcester.
The rest of the lineup comprises of Ballyboker Boy, Dunraven Prince, Endofdiscusion, Hindon Road, Jasperito, Kruzhlinin, Rogue Dancer, Native Breeze and Suzie Grey.
