Baby Shower Gift Registry?

Question

I am having a son and he is due on Christmas. My baby shower is being planned, I think for October and I am having a hard time trying to figure out what all I should register for. Also his nursery is going to be a Dr. Seuss theme and I can't find any stores that sell nursery items to go with his theme. Any ideas on things to register for or where I can find Dr. Seuss nursery items would be appreciated!

If you're going to register at places like Babies R Us or Target they will give you a list of ideas. A few things that I find handy are my son's swing, his bouncer, swaddling blankets, sleep sacks(when he was younger), his activity gym, and a boppy pillow. Other things you'll want to register for are diapers(in various sizes, you could even have a diaper raffle at your shower), wipes, onesies and sleepers in different sizes, and an extra base for your car seat if you have two vehicles(we only have one base and it's just annoying transferring it over).

Register at Target and Babies R Us.  They have lists online and in the store that help walk you through what you need.  Of course they have everything under the sun, so have a friend go with you and help you decide, for example, what qualities in a diaper wipe warmer are important - or do you even want one?  I thought this was key for a newborn and found a 'Lionsheart' brand (or something) that had a 'sponge' in the bottom that you rewet every week and it kept the wipes from drying out or burning.  If it doesn't have that type of thing, I've heard bad reports of wipes drying out and going bad.  So things like that, you'll need a couple 'mom' friends that have been through this and tried a couple different types of things.  ie...which are the best breast pads?  Lanisoh!

i just had my baby shower a less then a week ago and i didn't have a theme I'm having a girl and i just did everything pink blue green yellow. just let everyone know that's coming to your shower that you are having a hard time trying to find stuff and have everyone bring something wacky that is like Dr. Seuss different colors look around at party places  have fun with it and good luck!!!!
