  1. I wouldn't worry about the number of people that show up.  Just have a good time with those that do.

  2. About 30-35 people were invited to my shower, 25 RSVPd, and around 12 showed up.  I would say not to expect more than half of who was invited.

  3. lol .. over 40 people were invited to my shower.... including my family.. there were about 7 people there... even though I believe 30 something had RSVPd.

Never expect as many as you have invited.

  4. Everyone who was invited to my shower showed up, but the guest list was small (around 20) and included only family and very close friends.

  5. Yup I had mine and pretty much it was just family, I had about 20 rsvp and only family showed up.  My friends gave me excuses.  I was mad but oh well life goes on.  And karma's a ***** right.

I had a great time and the baby got lots of nice stuff from family.

    so have fun

  6. Well you're due in april, so maybe you should try and schedule it for around December-January when people will hopefully be home for xmas.

Its possible your friend had it at an inconvenient time (during the work week, or during spring/fall/winter), its more convenient in summer when people are likely on holidays, but it doesn't look like that will be an option for you. Try to have it on a weekend and let everyone know well in advance (possibly reminding them again as the date gets closer).

You can also considering having your shower after the baby is born. I find a lot more people show up to this type of shower to get the opportunity to see the baby.
