Baby Squirrel???

I have an orphaned baby squirrel and can not get in touch with a wildlife rehabilitation center. So as of now I need to care for it.

What do I need to do, how much to feed how often and stuff would be appreciated. Any tips?

  1. I have a squirrel that I have had for almost three years now. I got her when she was about 6 weeks old. The top link is something I wrote after doing a lot of research and having my own experience successfully saving her. The other links are the fun we have had together ever since those first few weeks of just worrying about her health.

I have written much more than that about her. She is an extremely affectionate animal to me and my son. Though, she hates my husband. It is no fault of his own. It is normal for captive squirrels to pick one, or in my case two, people to be attached to.

  2. I suggest you get advice about your squirrel from the rspca but for the times being heres a website to make sure your squirrel is well taken care of:

  3. it actually depend on how old the squirrel is. you can find a lot of information on the web. firstly, you have to find out what food baby squirrels eat so you can keep it alive. then, you should make it a comfortable home, similar to the one it has in the tree (under a desk or a table where it is dark) and don't touch it a lot, only when nessicary or else it will get accustomed to you, and it might not adapt to the wild very well, it will like humans too much (not that it's a bad thing, it's just better for the animal)
