Baby Swing Batteries Leaked! Now What?

Question

My wife and I received a used vibrating/ swinging chair from a family member for our son who is due in October. Today, we noticed it didn't work so the first thing we checked was the battery compartment only to find the batteries had leaked! Is it safe to use this after cleaning? If so, what should we clean it with...I've read vinegar would be best.

hi vinegar is the best cleaning agent you could use especially with baby items. as long as you clean it well and let it air out it should be fine. i would clean it a couple of times before the baby gets here just to be on the safe side! good luck
