My 5 month old is really teething, and he's so dribbly. I give him calpol, and powders and he's not in pain, but he dribbles so much that it's making his sheets wet in his cot. I can't change them all the time overnight because it'll wake him up. Is there anything I can do to stop him dribbling quite so much?

  1. Maybe you could just lay a burp cloth underneath his head area if he doesnt wiggle to much over night. Unfortunately I dont think there is much you can do except wait it out.

  2. if you do use the blanket underneath him and take it out 1/2 way through the night, tuck it in the sides, my baby use to spit up a lot at night so i tried that, one night it was over her face, it scared me!!

anyways, it will pass soon enough

  3. NO, WHEN BABY'S TEETH THEY DRIBBLE ALOT, PUT ON A BIB ON AND MAYBE LAY A EXTRA TOWEL IN HIS BED

  4. I'm gonna be honest...no...lol! My son always drools even when is isn't teething. So he always wakes up in a puddle. It might sound a bit yucky but it's just drool and it'll dry. I don't go crazy changing his sheets everyday. I def wouldn't lay extra towels down or anything, he could suffocate. Good Luck!

  5. yeh you can get soemthing like a mini matress protector; i know bigW sell them (if your in australia) they are just material say 15 cm wide and 30 cm long to pop under bubs head to catch dribble or they are useful for nappy free time as well... they are dymples brand and come in packs of 3?? or you can just use a folded over cloth nappy; it saves you changing all of the sheets; sometimes my bub grabs at the clothes though; another idea is to put a few sheets on the bed at once, with mattress protectors under each; so in th emiddle of the night if the cot needs chanigng ot doesnt put you out too much you can just take one layer off and put it in the basket; good luck..

  6. For safety, I wouldn't leave a bib on him, as someone has suggested!  Not much you can do - he will be ok.

  7. I have a drooler too! I put a cloth diaper under her head at night and that catches a lot. It probably doesn't bother him as much as you. I wouldn't put a bib on him at night though since it could get twisted around the neck.
