My little sweetheart seems to have broke out in a really bad acne rash all over her face!! There are no white heads just little red bumps all over and her skin on her ears is really drie!! I know its normal especially for newborns but I was just curious if there are any soaps or creams to help it out!!?

  1. My Daughter had them and at 3 months still suffers from them. Some acne is caused by dry skin, so we were told to keep her face clean with regular cooled boiled water bathing and to apply a light, parafin free moisturiser. We used E45 and although she keeps breaking out in them (it's due to our hormones apparently) she doesn't scratch at her face so much anymore and her ears cleared up right away.

  2. You shouldn't put anything on it. Just make sure it's clean by using a wash cloth with JUST WATER to clean her face. It'll go away within a few weeks. My son had the same thing.

  3. Doctors recommend to just leave it alone. My daughter had the same thing when she was a newborn and they eventually went away. Don't pick at them either.

  4. My baby had that and the doctor told me just to leave it alone its best if you bathe your baby with DOVE. It will soon go away some may take longer than other babies. Dont worry too much.

  5. I have noticed little red pimples on my babies skin also and asked my childhealth advisor 3 days ago

She said that it is a hormonal change in the baby and that it will clear up on its own

I asked if i could use anything on it and they said there is nothing i can do about it and that if it doesnt bother my son it shouldnt bother me

    Goodluck

  6. My son had this problem too.  My mom suggested that it was dry skin and vaseline extra strength cleared it up in a couple of days!  It worked like a charm!   Skin test your baby on their hand first because you dont want them to be allergic and have a worse rash.  My doctor also suggested St. Ives.  Sometimes that crappy baby lotion just isnt strong enough!

  7. i dunno that its acne, id say its maybe cradle cap or heat rash

i think if you get a teaspoon of olive oil and dab it on with cotton wool this should help with the dryness

this is wht iwas told to do by the midwife...

dont use anything else...your not really spposed to interfere with it

    good luck

  8. It should clear up on it's own.  Don't put any creams or oils on it bc it can make it worse.
