  1. Most fruit purees would have that effect on a baby its nothing to do with it being in a jar!

Banana may not have the same effect - its also nice mixed with avocado.

Whats the thumbs down for?? Got nothing better to do?

Fruit is fibrous and gives loose stools. Its a fact!

  2. Sometimes the food in the jars has added preservatives which your baby may find difficult to digest. Definetely stop giving the jarred fruit. You should buy some fresh pears and stew them yourself in some water then drain them and then puree with a bamix. You may find she tolerates home made fruit a lot better. Jars are good in emergencies but if you have time (i know some mums dont) it is really good to make your own, it doesnt take long and is very cheap and you can freeze it for 2 months, and at least you know exactly what your baby is eating.  Hope this helps.

  3. No, you should not. Her digestive system may not be ready for it at this time.

  4. You should feed her some rice cereal mixed with the fruit.  That will help keep her from having runny stools.
