  1. dont handle her while she's shedding. yes it is normal for them to sit in one place for a long amount of time.

  2. Yes, its normal for them to very still when shedding. I am not sure about the bedding, possibly becasue if they ingest it it wont compact them, but thats just a guess. Do not handle her while she is shedding, its best they are left alone until the shedding is compelte and their eyes are clear, \\It is a vulnerable time for them and htye shouldnt be distrubed. I suggest switching to repti-bark for bedding, not bad for them, more natural. no history of resptory infections (those are mostly with cedar bedding)

  3. NO!!!! don't handle it within 24-48 hours of the time they shed. their skin is really sensitive and its really not a good idea to do that. DONT use bedding. they need carpet. bedding causes upper respiratory infections.

  4. 1) One of mine is known for crawling into her hide and going to sleep in the middle of the shed and finishing the next evening. Don't ask me why.

    2) Soft-sorbent is bad because it is meant to absorb moisture from the urine of small mammals. Which means it will absorb the humidity. If snakes ingest it there can easily be an issue with impaction as well.

    3) Keep handling to a minimum until the skin is shed completely. They're sensitive and being half blind doesn't make them feel terribly secure.

    4) 10 gallon is fine for a baby, but within a few months you want at least a 20L or a 35 gallon.

  5. yes, it can be normal for shedding to take a couple hours, but it could be a sign that she is having problems removing the skin and her enviroment is too dry. Do you mist it regularly? What is the average humidity? Maybe you should try misting her with lukewarm water in a spray bottle to help soften the skin. If in another couple hours she is still not shed, I would recomend soaking her in a container of lukewarm water. Two, I dont know that bedding type so I cant say. And three, DO NOT HANDLE YOUR SNAKE WHILE SHEDDING (unless you need to soak her in a container to help with the shedding)!! This can stress her out
