Question:

Baby bathtubs.......?

Hi. My daughter is 5 1/2 months old. She has one of those basic baby tubs that is SUPPOSE to sit up when she can (which she actually can while supported). The piece is missing to sit it up without crushing her legs.

So my question is could any of you recommend a baby bathtub for my 18 lb nearly 6 month old daughter? Any links would be helpful too. She is also just about 27 inches long.

Thanks!

  1. Once my daughter outgrew her baby tub, we bought a 3 dollar inflatable mini pool at the dollar store. It was great cause we could use it in the tub, or outside during the summer, lol. Be very careful when looking at tub seats, most are extremely dangerous and not designed correctly. If you have a bumbo seat, you could always put her in that while in the tub, it will serve the same function. Or, use the sink, lol. My daughter always loved quick baths in the sink, I swear she'd get into things just so she could get one, lol.

    Good luck!

  2. My friend has this one for her daughter. She loves it.

  4. If she can sit up just use the bathtub...make sure she doesn't fall of course...it worked when my son was 5 months old...she'll love the extra room to splash

  5. i use the yellow spong foam thing that you just lay in a regular bathtub, you can get them for about 5 dollars at target, they are in the baby section. they are good because you dont have to worry about them growing out of it, but you do have to watch their ears and clean them good afterward.

  6. My suggestion is that you buy this chair which you sit in your big bath it is better than you forking out the money for another baby bath when she will not be in it for much longer.

Try this website this is were i got my sons.

  7. I used one for my son that was shaped like a circle.  It was a seat that his legs went through and propped him up in the tub.  They have inflatable ones too.  This worked well because he couldn't really grow out of it for a while.

  8. yep - the one that's installed in your bathroom.  climb in with her and you'll both have a blast.

better yet is the kitchen sink.  doesn't kill your back.

  9. How about the bath tub?  Or the kitchen sink?

It can be a bit traumatic for a baby to move to the bath tub... they don't always like the bigness of it.  Start by bringing her int the tub with you.  Using bubbles helps too.  There are bath tub rings to sit them in so they don't slip around.

  10. I just got this at Target: http://www.target.com/Munchkin-Duck-Bath...

My son loves it, I love it (it doesn't waste water), and you can't beat the price.  We've only had it for a week, but so far it's working out great.

  11. Amazon has a full selection of baby accessories, along with millions of other items, I always shop there first to compare prices. that is why I bookmarked this store.

problem is they might have too large a selection.

  12. My son is too big for his infant bath tub and while there are bath seats that you may be interested in...I just lay my son on the big bath floor on the yellow sponge and fill the bath with only like idk 5 inches of water. It goes into his ears, but he's never even had an ear infection..
