  1. just leave it be. since the mom and dad are around, they will go after anything that might try to mess with it.

  2. If the bird is fully feathered, it is most likely a fledgling and has left the nest on it's own and it's parents are caring for it. It is normal for birds to leave the nest before they can fly.   You need to replace it where you found it..preferably in a scrub or tree so it is relatively safe from predators, and the parents should come back to feed it.  If it is unfeathered...then look for a nest and if you can find it...replace it into the nest.  Do not worry about your scent being on the chick..birds have a very poorly developed sense of smell and will NOT reject a baby that has been touched.  If you cannot find a nest, get the bird to a local wildlife rehab for it's best chance of survival.  Also, keep in mind, it is illegal for you to try and raise this bird on your own.  Look for a rehab here:

  3. The parent bird will kick the fledging out of the nest and then from there encourage it to fly. Put it back, or up on a tree branch.

  4. I would leave it outside near some food and water. (Hide the food so it will find it and not always depend on the food being there.) The next morning if its there take it to an animal shelter.

  5. Try not to interfere too much. The baby will probably be flying soon, and if the mom feeds it regularly it will be fine.

If you're too worried, or just want to be informed in case something happens:

Just watch it for a while, no worries ^_~

  6. well..since the parents are still around..i'd say you shouldn't mess with it too much...if you wanna stand gaurd  duty against predators i guess that would be alright but really the birds know their role and i would guess this would be part of of how birds raise their offspring.

  7. Just put it in the nearest bush or small tree, or do nothing. This happens to ALL birds and the parents will continue to feed it and protect it. You dont have to do anything unless you have dogs , then just move it our of harms way.

  8. If you move the baby bird make sure an rub grass in yur hands first.  That way the baby won't have your scent on it that might discourage the mommy from caring for it.
