1. Sometiems the mother bird will push a sick baby out of the nest as to not drain her energy taking care of something that requires to much of her time and energy when she knows it will die. She may know something is wrong with it. Or maybe she is fledging it. Look up what baby finches should eat and how often and go from there. If it is unfeathered then it needs warmth. This can be acheived by creating a makeshift nest out of a coolwhip bowl and some tissue. Then place the baby in the bowl then the bowl in a box incase the baby flips out. Put a heating pad under the box set on low. Baby birds are often fed every 15-20 mins from dawn till dusk. DO NOT give water. They get their moisture from eating. Kaytee bby bird formula should hold you over until you figure out the exact diet. Give small amounts. make sure you get it far enough back in the throat do it does not choke. Use a 1cc syringe of course with needle off it. If the baby has feathers then try making a makeshift nest in with your other finches and see what mamma does. It will learn to eat but watch and make sure it does. If not feed it. Look up wildlife rehabbers in your area and ask their advice. Or even a pet store.

  2. Maybe the mom was testing to see if the baby bird could fly. Many birds in the wild push there babies out of the nest to soon, though continue to care for them. Try putting him back in the nest to see what happens, be prepare to pull him out in case of a negative reaction.

  3. Look is the mother feeding her young chicken? I don't think so, whatever she eats soften it and mash it with a small amount of water.

  4. READ ALL OF THIS BEFORE YOU DO IT!!!

take dog food and hot water and put it in the blender, feed it to the baby with tweezers. If you need anymore help write to me at Candyqueen720@yahoo.com. My name is Nikki.

  5. You have to keep it really warm, and you can try digging up some worms and feeding it to it, so this feels natural to the bird
