What memories do you have of a transistor radio?

  1. Baseball games.  Giant's announcer Lon Simmons was known for dead air.  Trying to tune in the Giant's games I had to stop the dial at every spot the static sounded a little different -- I had to wait to hear whether it was static or crowd noise.


  2. Haveing a little one with a wriststrap on my bedpost and listening to top 40. And trying to strap it to my banana bike so I could listen while I rode - didn't work that well.

  3. Beach.....and everyone put on the same station so we all were synced together. Only 3 stations came in. LOL

  4. The 1st C.B. radio I owned was a 4 ch. Helicrafter.  The last one I had was 140 ch.

    The 1st radio show I remember was Amos & Andy.
